The Company then changed Captians in the late 1980s to its current Captian Dave Cooper and has been its driving force to current day. In 1990 the company took part in its first exchange with the Lind Tamborcorps FDF FPF at Melton Mowbray Company Camp. After this camp the following year saw the creation of the Gospel Temperance Youth Band, Because girls were not allowed in the BB at that time.
The GTYB went wth the BB on the Danish leg of the exchange in 1991and went to the FDF FPF National Camp. over the 1990s and 2000s more exchange visits happened. In the 2004 the GTYB changed its name to the LWYB (Living Waters Youth Band), because of the Church changing its name to LIving Waters Church and the youth bands uniform changing from Red to Light Blue. The Company has also over the years has been a major force in the South Shields Battalion Events and compititions. In more recent times the BB had a major change with girls being allowed in its ranks as part its Girls association. This made the LWYB being merged with the Company. The Company to date is still as stong and commited to National and Battalion events as ever. In 2014 the Company went to the National band Championships and came second in the Novice Traditional Class and winning Best Percussion in that class with a very young band.
